Capelli’s is the perfect place for a quick coffee break in the midst of shopping madness.

The Venue
Actually inside the shopping centre, directly opposite shops like HMV and JJB Sports, is Capelli’s Italian Cafe. It’s a simple little place with lots of Italian character that makes it standout a bit more than your typical cafe.

The seating area is part of the shopping arcade parade, only cordoned off by fabric to separate you from the crowds of shoppers.

Black leather seats and warm wood tables serve as practical, tasteful furniture and, as the shopping centre itself is clean, the cafe looks sleek and efficient.

The People
The atmosphere depends on the passers-by of the shopping centre as the cafe it too integrated with crowds to have its own ambience.

A fabulous place to people-watch, Capelli’s gives customers a place to sit down and have a break while feeling involved with the hustle and bustle of the sale shopping.

It can feel hectic at times if the centre is too busy and, on the other hand, completely dead when the shops are empty, but at the right time it can be an excellent place to unwind and watch the shopping frenzy.

The staff are very friendly and actually Italian, which adds a nice touch, and people of all ages and types feel happy having a coffee here.

The Food
The food at Capelli’s is, obviously, Italian, with everything from pizza slices for £1.75 to panini and ciabattas for £3 to £4.

The ingredients are fresh which means the snacks themselves are tasty and satisfying, but you won’t get much more than a light lunch or snack here.

There are also some delicious cakes for £1.90 given to you in large slices with plenty of icing, and all the cake names are given the prefix ‘luxury’ which beckons many a sweet tooth.

The Drink
This place serves a proper cup of coffee, giving customers genuine Sicilian coffee in all the possible variations such as cappuccino and latte for £1.60 to £2.40 in decent-sized cups.

The hot chocolate is also a fabulous treat using rich chocolate from Bologna for authentic Italian hot chocolate. For something fresh there are also frappes, smoothies and milkshakes available.

The Last Word
A proper Italian cafe that is a popular place for a mid-shop rest to re-energise for more spending.
