A cosy cafe that serves delicious home-baked cakes and fresh, locally produced food, and if you feel like you need some Adam and Eve goodness in your own home, you can even buy takeouts.

The Venue
Adam and Eve’s Cafe strives to make customers feel like they’re in a familiar friendly setting. Banished are the cold steel chairs and plastic tables, and instead large, warm, wooden tables and chairs create a communal feel rather than the usual cafe sleek look.

One long wall of shelves displays all the delicious goodies Adam and Eve’s Cafe sell, with everything from jasmine tea to chocolate sauce, with all of the products locally sourced, animal friendly, fair-trade and organic. It’s these same products that are used to make their tasty food, so you know you’re getting good grub.

A cute blue cabinet shows off the cafe’s collection of random colourful teapots that your tea is served in, tea-cosy and all.

The People
The staff are extremely friendly, so much so that you’ll feel like a regular face among many. Customers range from hippie students who want some good quality food without the cold chain-style decor, to friendly families who want to relax, as well as older couples who come here for a good natter.


The Food
The food served at Adam and Eve’s Cafe is made with nothing but quality ingredients, meaning that the maximum yummy flavour is achieved for each dish. You can have something as simple as poached eggs on toast, or something more complex like the delicious chunky sandwiches crammed with fresh ingredients.

For breakfast with a bit of a difference, try the Adam and Eve breakfast salad. Fresh peppery salad leaves are heaped with meaty sausage, salty bacon and a poached egg, all for £5.95.

Cakes are also heavenly, and with a daily changing selection of sweet goodies made by Emma du Croz - the former head patisserie chef of institutions such as The Ivy, Tom Aikens and le Caprice - they're obviously going to be good.

The Drink
All hot beverages are under £2.50 and range from a simple locally roasted coffee to iced Thai tea, so you can make your tea break a little more exciting here.

There are also fresh smoothies, milkshakes and freshly squeezed fruit juices for a vitamin fix. All the wine, lagers and beers served are organic and locally produced, so they taste a bit different but they’re full of flavour and start from £2.80.
