My wife & I took 2 friends to the 'old thatch' as a thank you for help given. 'Wow, what a pleasure it was for all of us. A large car park for a start, & an easy entrance. First impressions' warm , welcoming & clean. Shown to table by very pleasant assistant & given very comprehensive menu. Made choices & waited, perhaps a little long, but there were other diners arriving. The food arrived & 'wow' again very very worth the wait, hot on hot plates & beautifully presented and cooked perfectly and to our satisfaction, and plenty of it. The whole meal from starters through to desert, was superb and incredible value. Will definitely return & recommend to all.
A very important point for us seniors was the excellent degree of lighting where we were able to see what we were eating without fumbling around the plate trying to find the food in a dim environment. Full marks 'old thatch' we all enjoyed the evening out.
