We had asked at another pub on the Quay for a recommendation for a specialist fish restaurant or pub, and she recommended The Poole Arms. I love historical pubs, and this is the oldest one on Poole Quay. The pub itself is very small, but it does have oodles of character. We ordered the king prawn starters, the whole sea-bass, and a home made fish pie. Believe me when I say the food was fresh and stunningly tasty. We over ate and gladly so. If you want a prissy restaurant dont go to Poole Arms. If you amazing value for money please do. Our bill came up to £40 and this included a pint of fosters and a large pimms. I read an earlier review about the gents outside. It does look around 200 years old, but I think that only adds to the character of this old pub. Loved it, and fully recommend it
