Just because the violence etc is not wrapped up in the genre of Opera or high art there's a huge fuss. Watch Opera and you will see far worse portrayed .The film is genius. Bronson is indeed a unique being and his story needs to be told however distasteful the chattering classes may find it; it is reality in a world where everything is becoming increasinlgy virtual and unreal. One gets the impression the establishment and Prison staff are making Bronson pay. What happened to redemption. Liberals make me sick, get real.
