Starlight Classic Bengali & Indian Cuisine Information
Hadn't been to this restaurant for some time and reading some of the online reviews I was I admit a little concerned, BUT there was absolutely no need to be. We had an excellent meal - the food was absolutely delicious, I could tell it had been freshly prepared from spices - really worth waiting for and the service was very friendly and efficient. Will recommend and revisit! Thanks
Beautiful food... great service.... friendly and I would definitely go there again..... I loved it and so did my friend....it could not have been any better..... thanks guys....
I went there with my friend last night... the food was absolutely yum yum and delicious.... and the service was faultless... We both would highly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy Indian food...
I have just moved in recently in Christchurch and I ordered curry and it was Lovely! I enjoyed my meal at a very good price from starlight. Thanks to starlight for being in christchurch! :)
I had ordered a meal and I absolutely loved it! I invited a few friends around had a big party with my mates and the staff were very friendly we had so much fun they give you discount prices the food was perfect and we had so much fun so thank-you very much starlight for being in Christchurch. !
Best indian resturant in town! I always enjoy my meals , there always tasty and to a good standard. They have received many compliments from many different people & customers. I higly recermend starlight so if you wnat a good meal go to starlight!
Terrible food, overpriced, lack of communication to customers, best way to describe this appalling restaurant.
I went out with two mates to this restaurant the starter i chose came out looked like left overs with 4 tiny chicken wings in £4 rip off the main contained 5 pieces of chicken and wasn't great no flavour at all only nice thing was the naan bread and rice, £25 each later for the meal left feeling truly ripped off. trust me when I say standard Bengal ( just across the street) and Kashmir (5minute drive down the road in Purewell) far superior do not go here avoid it like the plague
Ordered a takeaway. Took 2 hours to arrive and finally arrived cold. Each portion had less than 5 pieces of chicken and it was very poor quality.
Called up to complain and was treated very rudely and refused refund or new meal.
Stay well clear of this resturant
This place is a joke - DONT GO THERE!!
Food was disgusting, the staff obviously hate all customers, they are the rudest, most arrogant, miserable people I have ever come across.
This place doesn't even deserve the 1 star that has been given (you cant give a zero)
We've given this place 3 chances to improve, we must have been mad going there a third time last night but we were hungry.
The food is thrown in front of you, they tried to give two of us flat coke to drink, as soon as you put your knife & fork down the plate is whisked away quickly without them even asking if you've finished, the menus were literally snatched out of our hands, the so-called waiter looked as though he was constipated he was so miserable.
If you think I'm exagerating please go there just to be amazed at the downright rudeness of the staff, but don't eat anything!
Have a drink, experience the hostile environment, the constipated looking waiter, the grunting & the rudeness & then get the hell out of there!!
Possibly the worst Indian meal I have ever eaten. The service was non existant, the staff were exceptionally rude and the food was disgusting. Please if you do read this review do yourself a favour and get a cab to the Momtaz or Westbourne
