We ate at Mr G's today and cant wait to go there again.

Everywhere was clean and tidy, and the kitchen area looks spotless too. Prices are very reasonable and the food tased great. There were 4 of us at our table, staff looked after us very well, the time we waited for food was acceptable too. All in all a great place4 with great food and very friendly happy staff. Thanks again and hope to see you all soon

Today I ate at Mr. G's. For the first and last time. The first impression I got was of a shabby little cafe. And then I went inside, where I was greeted by many dirty dishes on the tables. In fact, out of the approximately 7 tables (that can sit 6 people), one was occupied and one was relatively clean; the rest had not been cleared yet.

My boyfriend and I shrugged and went to see the menu, which is written on many, many boards, spread on two walls of the place. This is probably the only good thing I can say about them: they do have a wide selection. However, many of the meals could be re-written, as the chalk faded or the handwriting is not clear.

We ordered and went to sit outside, where the tables were so dirty that I didn't want to put my bag on the table. I was expecting the waitress to come to wipe it, but alas!, that didn't happen. Soon, our tea and late were brought and frankly, I doubt how well my cup had been washed. At the same time, we were brought the cutlery, which I decided to hold in my hand. Because another patron started smoking outside, we went inside, where the tables had been cleared, but not really cleaned.

Food arrived! The side salad was tiny and placed on our napkin. This continues to be mystery to me... Maybe the plates weren't clean enough. I had ordered the Ham, Cheese and Tomato Panino. Aside from not being in a Ciabatta bread, it was missing the ham. My boyfriend's Bacon and Cheese Baguette was fine. Seeing how it seemed really difficult to get hold of someone, I let it go and ate the cheese and tomato panino, which I have to admit that it was good. Which I cannot really say about my coffee. By that time it had cooled enough to taste something that reminded me of medicinal alcohol. Maybe the cup had actually been very well cleaned, just not rinsed.

In conclusion, though the food seemed good , the atmosphere and the state of the cafe make it a poor choice for food, when for the same price you can find a good clean place.
