We are in Bournemouth for a number of weeks as part of a relocation to the area. We ate in the Moon on the Square tonight and were very impressed. The service was excellent and the food arrived promptly and hot. It was exceptionally busy but the staff were very helpful and friendly. This is probably one of the best Wetherspoons we have ever been to and considering it is peak holiday season I think the manager and staff did an excellent job. We would definitely come here again.
After reading the review on this site I wasn't expecting much. I wasn't pleasantly surprised when I went in to see pretty much every table full with a mix of different types.
The service was excellent and quick, considering how busy it was, and the bar staff also made me feel loOKed after as soon as I got to the bar.
The range of real ale is superb and when I asked the manager how many he had on at any one time the answer was 10 (8 Guest ales). The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly making sure everything was ok whilst I was eating it.
When I return to Bournemouth I will definitely make sure I go back. Thanks to everyone at the Moon in the square in making me feel so welcome!
