We had a table booked for 9 including a child, Sunday lunchtime. When we ordered food, there was a list of things we could not order. The waitress, who could not pronounce haloumi cheese, informed us again, that we could not have our second choice of meal : Bangers and mash, no mash in the house. The menu states clearly homemade food , so if there is not a potato in the kitchen- is the food cooked? The adult Bangers and Mash costs £ 9.00, that is expensive for micro-waved meals by any standard, you probably get better value in Iceland. Apparently they had a busy weekend! Then there was a problem with our third choice: “if our child has fish fingers, the person who ordered the last haddock and chips, can’t have it” , we lost our patience and complained. The manager. Wow! Somehow reminded us of a spoiled teenager : "whatever!" and we were asked to leave with our 4 year old. We were speechless due to the arrogance of the manager, the lack of service and looking around what was served to other people. We probably had a lucky escape. Breeze - right name for customer service : cold, nasty, overvalued , and completely out of character for Charminster , because this area has some excellent restaurants.

We went to breeze before heading into town on Friday night, what a great atmosphere with the terrace being a smoking area, you could actually have a conversation with your mates, while in a safe and comfortable environment, cocktails were great too. Will be back again soon.

I would just like to thank all the staff at Breeze restaurant for a wonderful 40th Birthday party on Monday, I booked for twenty people, explained what i wanted and they did the rest!! Awesome food and service and lovely cocktails from the guy's at the bar, my wife loved the Berry Breeze and we even got a recipe and was shown how to make them.. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wishes to calibrate their Birthday haste free. Thank you..............

I think Breeze is a very welcome addition to Charminster! It supplies us with great style, while also remaining top of the list for places to eat. I particularly enjoy the fish dishes at Breeze, they really know what they are doing! Good value for money and would pretty much recommend to everyone!

Seemingly a great addition to Charminster Road, however we had breakfast there this morning and were very disappointed with the quality of the food. The fruit salad that came with the continental breakfast was of the canned syrupy variety, the full English was swimming in oil and the smoked salmon with scrambled egg was so unappetising that I just couldn't eat it. The waitress however didn't seem to bat an eyelid that I'd only had one mouthful and left the rest. Finally don't be fooled by the footnote on the menu saying that 'Tea and coffee is available with all breakfasts'. This doesn't mean that it's included in the price, literally just that tea and coffee is available - as you would hope. Definitely style over substance.
